AI Laptop Solver · Last updated 29 September 2026
AI Laptop Solver is a Windows app that scans your PC, explains what is slowing it down, and fixes it when you ask. This page says what the app sends to our server, why, how long we keep it, and who else handles it. Questions or deletion requests: partho8181bd@gmail.com.
Most of the work happens on your PC. Scanning, cleaning, the backup and restore of your files, and every change the app makes stay on your computer. Your backup copies are written to the drive you choose and are never uploaded to us.
What the app sends to us
The app does not need an account to run. It identifies your PC with a device ID: a one-way SHA-256 hash of hardware identifiers (system UUID, motherboard serial, processor ID and first disk serial). The raw serial numbers are never sent, and the hash cannot be turned back into them.
- Device details. PC name, Windows user name, Windows version, CPU model, memory size, app version and app language. Used to recognise your PC, to support you, and to tell which app versions and Windows builds have problems. The Windows user name is not sent with the installed-software list.
- Scan results. After each scan: your speed score and what it is made of, the problems found, memory and disk figures (drive letters and sizes), boot time, counts of running programs and startup items, junk and Recycle Bin sizes, folder sizes and item counts for Desktop, Downloads and Documents (counts only, not file names), Microsoft Defender status and any threat names it reports, the startup list, and before/after figures. Used to show your history, improve the scoring, and help us support you.
- Cleanup totals. When you run a cleanup, how many bytes it freed. Used for the lifetime savings figure.
- Installed software list. Only when you use the backup and restore feature: program name, publisher, version, install date, size, matching installer ID and program icon. Used so the programs can be reinstalled after a Windows reset.
- Crash and error reports. When the app or its background helper fails: the error message and technical trace, app version, Windows build, display language, processor count, memory figures, WebView2 version, CPU model, and PC maker and model. Used to find and fix bugs. They contain no file contents.
- Reports by email. If you ask for a report, your email address and what the dashboard showed at that moment, which we use to write and send you the report.
- Sign-in. If you sign in, your email address and a link between that address and your PC(s). We email a one-time code to verify it. The number of PCs per account is limited, and you can sign a PC out from the app.
- Notifications. Whether a notification we sent was delivered, shown, clicked or dismissed on your PC.
- Purchases. If you buy Pro or AI credits: the order, amount, currency and status, and your credit balance and use. Payment itself is taken by PayPal. We never see your card or PayPal login.
AI features
Some features send text to an AI service (OpenAI) to get an answer, only when you use them:
- Chat and diagnosis. Your message, the recent conversation, and a summary of your PC (drive and memory figures, and the list of startup programs with their names, publishers and file locations).
- Closing background programs. The name, publisher and description of programs that might be safe to close.
- Backup check. The names of top-level files and folders you are about to back up, so the app can point out which may matter. Names only: no paths and no file contents.
We do not keep the text of your chat messages or these requests. We keep only how many tokens were used, the model, the cost and the credits charged, so we can bill fairly and stop abuse. What OpenAI does with the text is described in OpenAI’s own privacy policy.
Who else handles data
- OpenAI: answers the AI features above.
- PayPal: processes payments.
- Our email provider: delivers sign-in codes and reports to you.
- Our hosting provider: runs our server and database.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics.
How long we keep it
We keep scan history, crash reports, purchase records and account links for as long as the app is in use and we need them for the purposes above. Nothing is deleted on a timer today. We will delete your data when you ask (see below), and we will keep purchase records for as long as the law requires.
Your choices
- Ask us for a copy of the data linked to your PC or email, or ask us to delete it, at partho8181bd@gmail.com. Tell us the email you signed in with, or your PC name.
- Uninstalling the app stops all sending. It does not delete data already on our server, so ask us if you want that removed.
- Changes the app makes to your PC (cleanups, startup changes, settings) are shown to you first and most can be undone from the app.
Security and children
Data is sent over HTTPS, and requests from the app are signed with a key unique to your PC. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
